June Update 1

Welcome to mid-june, everyone! We’ve even had some sun. Here’s some of the most interesting ‘heritage-flavoured’ events froma round East Anglia to add to your calendar.

 Classes and Courses

 From the 22nd of July, Gill Blanchard will be teaching a 4 week course titled ‘Searching for Wills and Administrations in England and Wales. The course will explain the systems for probate from before and after 1858, as well as many other useful information for the budding family historian. This is an online course.  Talks and Conferences

 Diss Methodist Church will be holding a fascinating talk about Britains First Serial Killer. Mike Wabe will be speaking on the 9th of July.

 On the 6th of July, a full-day conference on the subject of Industrialisation in Essex. Tickets are 10 pounds. Please book in advance on 01245 244614

 Journey Through The Ages  is an exciting prospect – over the weekend starting the 15th of June, Goodrich Park brings us battle reenactments by Vikings, Crusaders and many more, as well as craft stalls, vintage vehicle displays and a rustic bar. Enjoy!
